Notable Engagements

Selected real estate & development work

A closer look at engagements spanning global portfolio leadership, public infrastructure, full-scope tenant delivery, and cross-sector representation.

Full-Scope Site Selection Through Move-In

Mother, 2008 – Present

Led site selection strategy and lease negotiation for three adjacent, connected buildings at 4202–4212–4216 W. Jefferson Blvd, then supervised landlord and base-building work before assembling the complete design, architectural, and engineering team. Bid the construction, then hired and managed the general contractor and every other service provider — including IT — to deliver the finished space, from raw shell to move-in ready.

Municipal & Landlord Advisory

City of Santa Monica, via Corporate Realty Group, 2008 – Present

Advised the City of Santa Monica on leasing and marketing strategy that attracted Snap Inc. as a headquarters tenant — negotiating the lease and subsequent renewals — and separately secured NEON Rated's Los Angeles office, elevating portfolio NOI through a broader tenant-mix strategy. The relationship also spans leasing at Santa Monica Airport and additional City-owned listings, including a property near the Santa Monica Pier.

Global Portfolio Leadership

Kaplan (The Washington Post Company), 2000 – 2006

Played an instrumental role in managing an international team that oversaw a 6-million-square-foot portfolio across 500 locations in the US and Europe, spanning retail, big-box, office, call center, and educational facilities. Procured and managed outsourced partners across leasing/brokerage, property management, architecture, construction, and facilities maintenance, while overseeing more than $100 million in lease transactions and development. Named 2005 Employee of the Year.

National Rollout & Partner-Led Delivery

HD Supply / White Cap (The Home Depot), 2006 – 2008

Managed a staff of 20 and 3+ million square feet of real estate across 200 locations, procuring and managing outsourced brokerage, architecture, construction, and facilities-maintenance partners. Opened 13 new retail branches while increasing return on invested capital by 30%, and led due diligence supporting 50+ new locations in 18 months — expansion that ran 20% ahead of corporate plan.

Major Capital Redevelopment

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority, 1998 – 2000

Directed leasing, acquisition, disposition, and construction across 3.5+ million square feet of retail, newsstand, office, and parking-garage property for one of the nation's largest public transit agencies. Led a 32-story, 1.6-million-square-foot office tower redevelopment, managing construction budgets exceeding $500 million under sustained public and regulatory scrutiny.

Cross-Sector Tenant Representation

Headspace, Gallatin AI, Recharge & more, 2008 – Present

Negotiated headquarters and office leases for a cross-sector roster of tenant clients spanning wellness, technology, and entertainment, plus engagements with the State of New York and Teradata — bringing the same landlord-side market insight to bear on behalf of occupiers.

Showroom Design, Construction & Brand Standards

Emser Tile, 2008

Spearheaded site selection, lease negotiation, and facilities management for showrooms and distribution centers, managing new showroom design, construction, renovations, and branding — including a newly built Scottsdale, AZ location that set the design standard for future rollouts.
